Gama Goat

I would build the Gama Goat 4 wheel steering and 6wheel drive. So I decided
to take U-joints o power the car.
The U-joints are 1.5 diametre and have a 0.3mm splint. The 1mm shaft is ball
bearing.

Here you see the self made steering servo. The controler is taken of another
small servo

At the front wheel you see the U-joint. Also through U-joints I carry the power
to the trailor. On the right picture you also see the mainshaft.

The tyres are out of a "children surprieses" (these are small chocolate-eggs
with a toy inside). The wheels are selfmade. The servo I havo to build inside
the mainframe. Thats why I want to save place in it.

The lights are LED. At the traile you also see the U-joints. I think this car in not good for sand driving. The traile is movable up/down and right/left.

Here you see the first offroad tryout. At this time wire-controled.

The first Offroad tour afte finishing was on the modelshow "Faszination Modellbau 2002" in Sinsheim, germany. The Gama Goat works fine and without any problems. During the show the model gets easier every time. The gears have to adjust by working.
The only problem is the powerless servo (1:9 gear ratio). Next time I should construct a more powerfull one. As a small joke I also build in a driver. His arms are fixed on the steering wheel. So the driver looks like he is steering.
