Komatsu Radlader

A model of a large dredger is offer by Kibri. So it is possible to radiocontrol this dredger. The hull is 15 mm wide so this project is not so easy at all.

An easy thing is to assemble the servo. It is assembled head first in the centre of rotation. As I remove the servocontroler it is suitable on it's place. To power this dredger I use a motor of a microservo and a gear from a "Faulhaber" gearmotor without it's housing.

Here you can see the rearaxle including wheels and gear. The gear have a 41:1 transmissio. Additional the rearaxle wormgear has 18:1 transmission. So the topspeed and the power is fine.
All axle are 1.5 mm brassmade and ball bearing.

On the left you see the front part of the dredger. Here also I use ballbearing. To move the arm you see the gear.

A typical picture of time to testing the gears. Later I hide all wires. The wheels of the Kibri kit are don't soft. So I take rubbertyres from a toy-trailer. The bucket don't have it's own motor. On the top position it cant automaticly.
