How to build a blimp in one day on a model show:

The idea of building this was not a new one. On the show we find a fair-balloon. The biggest one was ok. Georgs job was to find the right place for the motors.

From the fair stand next door we organiced some balsa wood to make the mainfraime.
A LIPO cell, two ER500 speed controler and one jst mini reciver was build in.
This parts a all availible at www.mikroantriebe.de
.

two parts of 7mm motors, each with an 1:6.5 gear and propellers made of a water
bottle was the drive of the blimp. Some straws, packthread and rapid glue we
use to fix it.

At the first tryout we realiced that we have to carrie 15 gramm seal. The motors
are mounted in an angel so they used to power foreward and up in the same time.
If the batterys are empty, the blimp sinks automaticly.

Instead of the seal we build in a third motor for perpendicular power.

Great! Fun! Silly!
One day, some bottles of beer and without any sience. I think it was one of the highlights of the swiss toy fair 2002.

Maybee its possible to build a smaller one next time ;-)
